Jointpop
Jointpop formed in 1996 in Trinidad and Tobago and class themselves as a Rock n Roll group! Which I think sums up Jointpop perfectly. Sticking labels onto bands is never a great idea and I think that calling them simply a Rock n Roll band does infact do them justice - but this is Jointpop T&T Rock N Roll.
Great songs, great players and great energy. When you listen to Jointpop don't be surprised if you find yourself on a bit of a nostalgia trip too. If you find yourself wanting to Pogo in your home made Mosh pit to tracks like "Please don't tell my inlaws (I'm an Outlaw)" and "Monday Morning Love Situation" then you'll start to realise why these guys are Rock n Roll.
These guys obviously love music and they pull in styles and attitudes from a really diverse bucket of sounds. The Clash, Sex Pistols even through to The Beatles and Marley - then roll it all up into a big fat Jointpop sound and you get amazing tracks like "Yoko Ono" (featured Video on this page), which is just simply a classic Rock track. Then settle back and listen to a very laid back Caribean sounding track like "Mystery" which is just a track that sticks in your head and makes you realise that these guys just "Love Music" and I doubt if they care what critics have to say.
In speaking with Gary (Guitar/Vocals) they are delighted to be involved and featured OnAIR and we hope to be able to convince them to join us in our Live Streaming service and bring some Trinidad and Tobago Jointpop - Live and Online - to our members and their fans around the world.
We'll be hooking up with the guys at some point along the road and bring you some more information directly from the guys themselves - so stay tuned and spread the word - we're big fans of Jonitpop here on Anarchy & Angels and I'll do my best to keep this section updated as often as I can.
