But it's their original material with tracks like No No No, Puking Blues and Free that these guys come into their own. Despite having a rock sound akin to The Doors, The Who, Jimmy Hendrix and Pink Floyd - and they can really sound exactly like all of the above great classic rock bands, Check their videos and judge it for yourself - just a couple of listens to their originals and you'll not forget them quickly. But their sound and outstanding song-writing, composing and performing talent hasn't come easy it's been honed at over 500 live shows throughout Croatia and Eastern Europe.

Using the social media sites to their best ability Gruhak (to help attract a larger worldwide audience) have uploaded some 20 covers of the Greatest Classic Rock Songs and achieved a cult status on YouTube as “The Best Ever Classic Rock Cover Band” and in December 2011 Gruhak were awarded ‘The Band Of The Month’ on GSTV with overwhelming margin of 70% of the votes. Unlike some bands who realy heavily on a lead front man or guitarist to carry them forward, all the band members are superbly talented and work exceptionally well together to form a tight yet relaxed style to their music.

However, in saying that frontman and singer Boris is truly a force of nature, pitch-perfect at full vocal range and volume, with amazingly versatile colour to his voice. As well as singing the lows at full vocal range, he also sings high notes without breaking into falsetto. Gruhak’s first album ‘Make A Stand’ is currently available in the OnAir MP3 store and you'll also find the title track Make A Stand from the album in our "Featured Artists Promotional Pack" for FREE (The Album is also available on CD-Baby and on iTunes). All music and lyrics is written by Ivan (guitar) and Boris (vocals) and arranged and produced by the band themselves. Their original material, layered with superb musicianship throughout, ranges from easy and refined acoustic numbers through modern blues rock to fast rock n roll.

The arrangements have the dramatic progression and dynamic complexity in the style of the great classic rock music of the late sixties and early seventies. One of Gruhak's main objectives with their live performances and of course the realse of their first album is to bring Classic Rock and Blues back to the young audiences and into the mainstream of current musical genres. They are investing heavily into PR to promote and sell their first album, to gain new subscribers to their websites and to increase the fan base so that worldwide live shows become a viable proposition.

This band has the potential to go all the way and to become a world-class act - if in fact they aren't already.
