Welcome to Anarchy & Angels.

Dee Stroy

At Always Internet Radio we aim to give our listeners a first class listening experience, so we pride ourselves in our home grown shows. One show that listeners are following intently is our Punk and New Wave show Anarchy & Angels.

Anarchy & Angels Podcasts

Hosted by Mr Dee-Stroy A&A as we like to call it brings you a variety of raw Punk Rock and New Wave from the early 70’s right up to today. A clue to the content of the show is given in the name Anarchy & Angels, Anarchy for those Punk years where the need to rebel to bring about change was felt by many, and Angels for the following years where New Wave, Synth Pop and early Goth music replaced those bands who had gone before.

On the show you will hear tracks from all of the more well known artists of the Punk genre like The Sex Pistols, The Clash and Buzzcocks, but we will also be digging around the Internet and our old battered record collections to bring and play you those less well known bands. If you were a Punk in the 70’s when it all began, then you will know that the urge to pick up an instrument and give it what Hell was hard to resist. For many of those early Punks the “Call to Arms” was just what they had been waiting for, a chance to tell the Government and the Music Industry bosses of the day just they all thought of them.

Just in case you missed the small player buttons above the "Now Playing" band graphics on the right. Here are nice big ones for you to use to open your local media player and add to your favourites if you like!

Some of the tracks played in the shows contain strong language! But not the presenters.
Through their music they spelled out, often in controversial language just what was wrong with their policies and the mind numbing music they were producing. Thousands of young bands emerged from the early Punk Rock scene, many had never held and instrument, sang or had ever written any lyrics. Many felt the need to just speak up, to be seen and be heard, to be a part of this new movement. Fame was not something that was sought, but the chance to try and change things was all that was needed. Of these thousands of bands few ever made it to the charts, and there are plenty of good Punk records out there, but it’s the other, less famous, obscure and underground bands that the show will manly focus on.

To quote on listener “ I listen to the show because you just can’t hear this music anywhere else”

If you were in a Punk band in the 70’s 80’s and even today then we want to hear from you. If you have any demos, records or cassette tapes with you band, then copy them and send them in. John Peel was a champion of the small band, and encouraged them to send in their music, and we are the same.

A&A is a place to hear those forgotten tracks, but it’s also a place to hear new Punk music. We will be playing music from bands from all over the world, so make sure you join us and encourage those like minded people to spread the word.
