Still Patient? is a German Gothic rock band, formed in the beginning of 1988 that had their high times in the 90´s. They released some CD´s, toured and played bigger Gothic festivals around Europe.
Tell me, what happened and why did Still Patient? end as a band after your last CD “Demondive” 1999?

When we started to prepare ourselves for the following album to the EP Chameleon, for which we had written some new songs, we had that upcoming feeling that it would be time for a change. Each of us found new and various influences in music from different genres and we wanted to combine them in the new songs. To start from scratch we released the album “Nightmare Arrival” to publish all the songs we had written until then but where still unreleased.

Asrai, you started as a band 1985 with only females. Over the time you have changed your lineup several times. Tell us about the way where you are today, have the struggle been hard?

Yes we started in 1985 as an all girl band. At that time there was a lively music diverse squatting scene in Rotterdam and a lot of our friends were playing in a band, but only the guys played the instruments. So it was time to add some girl power to the scene. Nowadays we are the only band still existing from that era , with a steady line up now for almost ten years. And with this line-up we had our break through.

Neuro -Sentence is a band from Colorado Springs, USA. They describe themself as playing a mix of BloodWave, Goth, Electro, Industrial. When I contacted them they reply me and told me they are in a very busy time to finishing their full-length record.

How is it going? Do you spend much time in the studio?

Count W- Things are hectic at the moment between live shows and putting the finishing touches on the full length. All of the tracks are already recorded and mixed but we're still in the mastering phase. So at this time we're basically wrapping up the album. The countless hours of hanging out at the studio are behind us for the moment.

Interview with Trevor "The Dark Lord" & Piers Sixx of Arcane Winter by DJ Valhalla.

DJ Valhalla: Tell me about the background of the band? I see there are many from different bands?

Piers: "We all have known each other for many years. I first met Trev back in 1991 when my first band played with Every New Dead Ghost (ENDG), who I followed for years. Fast forward a couple of years and I moved to Nottingham, where Arcane Winter are from, and bumped into him again at a goth night. I started to visit the old Nightbreed shop on Wollaton Road, met Nick and became a fan of Trev's next band Midnight Configuration. I don't think I missed a gig of theirs! Trev asked me to contribute to a couple of albums and I got roped in singing and playing keyboards at live gigs. I think between us the members of Arcane Winter have probably been in 15 or so bands! Arcane Winter formed when Midnight Configuration was winding down, and I can remember Trev asking Nick and I if we were up for starting a new band at rehearsals for the last gig. As a fan of ENDG it's a dream come true!"
