Iain Hamilton is from Inverness and a real piping enthusiast. Iain has played, Highland Pipes, small pipes and gaita both solo and with several traditional and ceilidh bands, both at home and abroad. His crowning glory sadly has not been a gold medal, but was probably piping in the weetabix for Eric Idle to address!

Iain still plays, but now works as the Creative Industries Manager with the economic development agency for the Highlands and Islands. This has meant that he has managed to keep music as a big part of his working life, and to stay in the Highland capital.
