Chris studied Electronics with Music at Glasgow University and after graduating moved back to the Highlands in 2003.  As a talented guitarist,singer/songwriter and fiddler himself, he has had an active interest inthe Scottish music scene for many years.

In recent years, he has been heavily involved with the Fčis Rois, for whom he organizes traditional music workshops in schools throughout Scotland. Although his roots lie with folk music, he has a wide appreciation formany different genres of music, which is reflected in his show.

In 2005, Chris and a colleague launched www.scotloads.co.uk to help support the independent Scottish music scene.  The site provides musicianswith a gateway to promote and sell their music worldwide.

Chris' show focuses particularly on showcasing independent artists and the live scene within Scotland.  Check it out for the best up and coming acts as well as some more familiar sounds.
